(But you know it is not a high dynamic range (HDR) picture anymore — your picture maybe has gone through some HDR processing, but that's it. It's like calling a GIF true-color. ;) And yes, it's constantly made wrong by many people and I always check for the actual .hdr download link. Each time I only find normal pictures with 8bit per color channel. :) )

Interesting! I'm new to this whole thing so this is good.
So what should I do instead? Is it just a matter of exporting as an .hdr? I'm using photomatix and I guess I just exported it as a .jpg because it's the first one I saw.

And I guess by converting it into a jpg, it loses a lot (or all) of its quality..
