I don't even know where to start for this one.

First of all, this was the most tedious, redundant thing I've ever done. I had to make a separate shader for each of the keys (100) not to mention spending a lot of time tweaking the bump map, the lighting, the camera angle...It was definitely a long journey.
But, having said that, it was also the most rewarding project I've worked on to this point.

Here are some technical details:

Maya 2008

Everything except the floor and the numlock light is a Phong with a noise bump map. The light is just a lambert with the incandesence and glow intensity up.

Lit with a point light, area light and HDR image.

Total render time:

Diffusion Pass: 01:23:47
Occlusion Pass: 00:04:36
Depth Pass: 00:00:17
Reflection Pass: 00:47:51

I like the POV on this one, but the key textures are a little blurry even in the front where DOF shouldn't be an issue. Probably because the text isn't high res enough? Still looks great. Better than I would do because I'd get half way through and give up.

Yes I had a huge problem with the key tetures. I even photoshop some of the blurryness and smearing out. To be quite honest, I did give up on those. Maybe I'll come back in the future when I a little more knowlegeable and fix it.
